ZWO ASI2600MM P25 USB 3.0 cooled astrophotography camera with monochrome backlit CMOS sensor. APS-C format monochrome CMOS sensor (28.3 mm diagonal). 16-bit ADC converter, read-out noise of approx. 1 e- and 3.76 micron pixels, ideal for high resolution long exposure deepsky photography even with rather short focal lengths.

Refined design

The ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera body weighs only 0.7 kg (1.54 lbs), yet offers outstanding imaging performance.

APS-C Sony IMX571 sensor

The ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera is equipped with the Sony IMX571 sensor in APS-C format, with dimensions of 23.5 mm × 15.7 mm and a diagonal measurement of 28.3 mm. It offers an outstanding resolution of 6248 × 4176 pixels, making it a true 26-megapixel powerhouse. Each 3.76 μm pixel offers an impressive full-well field capacity of 73 ke-, ensuring exceptional dynamic range and image quality.

Native 16-bit analogue-to-digital converter

The advanced CMOS architecture of the ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera enables a 14-stop dynamic range. This ensures exceptionally smooth tonal transitions, richer colour gradations and the ability to capture both the faintest details and the brightest highlights within a single frame.

Zero Amp-glow

Because the ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera uses zero amp glow circuitry, you do not have to worry about amp glow even when using high-gain, long-exposure images.

Integrated anti-dew system

The ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera uses a polyimide heater built into the protective window, which prevents the formation of dew and frost for clear and reliable images throughout the night.

USB 3.0 interface and 512 MB DDR3 memory

The ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera incorporates a high-speed USB 3.0 interface combined with a dedicated 512MB DDR3 memory buffer. This architecture minimises data loss and latency, ensuring fast, stable and secure transmission even during long exposures and continuous high-resolution acquisition.

Adjusting the sensor inclination

The camera incorporates a tilt plate with three sets of adjustment screws. In combination with the three mounting screws, they allow precise adjustment of the sensor plane for accurate alignment with the telescope's optical axis, ensuring a flat field of view and consistent star shapes across the entire frame.

Dual-stage thermoelectric cooling

Thanks to its two-stage thermoelectric cooling system, the ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera is able to reduce the temperature of the CMOS sensor by 30°C-35°C below ambient, significantly reducing dark current and sensor noise even during long exposures.

The ΔT of 35°C is measured at 30°C ambient temperature.

Camera performances

The ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera achieves a dynamic range of up to 14 stops. When the gain setting reaches 100, HCG (High Conversion Gain) mode is automatically activated, which greatly reduces readout noise while preserving dynamic range. For optimal deep sky imaging performance, a gain setting of 0 or 100 is recommended.

Quantum efficiency

The quantum efficiency of the ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera peaks at 91% in green. The graph below shows the quantum efficiency for the Sony IMX571 sensor.

Ultra-low dark current

The ZWO ASI2600MM P25 camera adopts advanced dark current suppression technology. At a cooling temperature of 0 °C, the dark current is only 0.0022 e-/s/pix, which means that even with a 5-minute (300 s) exposure, the total dark current noise is only 0.7 e- lower than the reading noise. At -20 °C, the dark current drops further to 0.00012 e-/s/pix, making it virtually non-existent.

What's in the box?

Please note: all ZWO ASI cooled cameras require an external power supply, which is not included. We recommend the use of a good quality stabilised power supply capable of delivering 12V and 3-5A (DC 2.1x5.5mm connector) or a lithium battery with an 11-14V output. Should the power supply or battery deliver a voltage outside these parameters, the camera has special protection circuits.
