DWARF Draco SMART telescope - SHO VERSION

DWARF DRACO isn't just a larger smart telescope. It's a true compact astrophotography system, designed to bring next-level performance to the world of smart telescopes.

A new kind of observatory. One you can carry.

Two cameras, two perspectives of the Universe

Draco integrates two 50MP imaging systems that work together.

The telephoto camera is dedicated to high-resolution astronomical observation and photography, while the second wide-angle camera offers a field of view of 85.74°, ideal for capturing the Milky Way, star trails, and the entire landscape under the night sky.

This way, Draco shows not only the subject you're photographing, but also the sky in which that subject is located.

A 50MP sensor for astronomy

The telephoto camera uses a 1/1.3" 50.33MP OmniVision OV50Q40 sensor. But Draco doesn't just pack a lot of megapixels onto the sensor: it uses different metering modes depending on the subject.

For deep-sky images, it uses 2x2 binning, combining four adjacent pixels to obtain effective pixels of approximately 2.4 µm and approximately 12 MP images.

The result is greater signal collection capacity and a better signal-to-noise ratio, particularly useful when photographing faint subjects. For the Moon, Sun, and planets, it can instead use native pixels of approximately 1.2 µm, prioritizing resolution and detail.

Let Time Bring Out the Details

300-Second Single-Frame Exposures, Rock Steady

With built-in guiding, physical field derotation, and a precision drive system, Draco corrects tracking errors and minimizes field rotation, keeping stars tight and sharp throughout single-frame exposures of up to 300 seconds.

Built-in Guide Scope

Continuously monitors star drift and corrects tracking errors in real time, keeping stars sharp and preventing star trails.

Field Rotation Correction

The CMOS rotates with the sky to physically counter field rotation, delivering clean images without complex polar alignment.

Precision Track System

High-precision transmission and fine microstepping control keep every tracking and movement correction stable and responsive. The optical tube moves as needed and follows smoothly, helping reduce vibration and backlash so stars stay tight during long exposures.

A More Advanced Filter System

Draco’s dual cameras feature multiple built-in filters for deep-sky imaging, the Milky Way, star trails, the Sun and Moon, everyday photography, and more.

Astronomy Filter

Preserves a broader range of useful starlight, making it well suited for deep-sky targets such as galaxies and star clusters.

Upgraded Hα + O III Dual-Narrowband Filter

Targets Hα at 656.3 nm and O III at 500.7 nm, with both channels narrowed to a 13 ± 3 nm bandpass. The narrower bandpass isolates nebula emission more precisely and reduces unwanted background light, bringing nebula structures into clearer view.

Steady Support in Equatorial Mode

Draco’s all-metal base fits securely into its metal frame, forming a rigid, unified structure that stays stable in Equatorial Mode. No additional equatorial mount is required. Simply follow the in-app guidance to adjust Draco to the correct angle and complete the setup, providing greater stability for long exposures and multi-frame stacking.

Draco is available in Standard and SHO versions.

The Standard version is designed for maximum versatility, with filters dedicated to deep-sky, solar photography, and various modes of use.

The SHO version adds the S II + O III filter in addition to the Hα + O III system, allowing you to automatically acquire the data needed to create narrowband images with the characteristic color rendition of the Hubble palette.

For those who love photographing emission nebulae, Draco SHO is a particularly interesting solution: all the complexity of the narrowband workflow is integrated directly into the Smart Telescope.

Potente abbastanza da sembrare un osservatorio. Compatto abbastanza da portarlo sotto il cielo che preferisci.

Set Draco down. Tap GoTo.

Set up Draco and tap a target. Autofocus, calibration, target acquisition, tracking, and stacking—all handled automatically. Built-in guiding keeps 300-second exposures steady as faint starlight builds up frame by frame.

Remote Control

One Draco can be your remote observatory.

Deploy Draco where observing conditions are better, giving you remote access to clearer skies, darker nights, and a more stable imaging environment.

Astro Mosaic

Do not let a fixed FOV limit your view.

When one frame is not enough, expand it. Extend the frame in the star map, and Draco automatically captures and stitches multiple sections into a wider deep-sky image.

Expand the frame by up to 1.8× in both width and height, for a field of view approximately 3× larger overall.

A wider view. A more complete nebula. Captured in one smooth flow.
