Second hand – Takahashi 1.7x R Extender Module for FOA-6

Takahashi Extender Module 1.7x R for Takahashi FOA-60 optical tube.

Transforms Takahashi FOA-60 fluorite apochromatic telescope into FOA-60Q F/15 flat-field 900 mm focal length with polychromatic Strehl Ratio of 99.8% corrected and not vignetted on a 44 mm image circle.

These are values above even what is allowed by the excellent TOA optical design.

Such performance applies over the full extent of the corrected field and over the entire visible spectrum from 436 nm to 656 nm.

The use of the 1.7x R Extender module also allows for a long focal length but still very compact instrument (645 mm with hood fully closed, 705 mm with hood removed).
