Celestron RACI 9x50 mm 90° finder with mount

The Celestron 9×50 RACI (Right Angle Correct Image) finder scope is a significant upgrade over the standard finders supplied with many Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. With a 50 mm aperture, the finder provides bright, clear images with 9x magnification and an apparent field of view of approximately 5 degrees.

The 90° prism optical configuration with image correction (RACI) ensures correct viewing both vertically and horizontally, facilitating the identification and tracking of celestial objects as they move across the field of view. The eyepiece module can be rotated sideways, allowing you to optimise the viewing angle according to the optical setup configuration.

The eyepiece features a double crosshair reticle, useful for precise centring of objects, both during the alignment phase of motorised equatorial or altazimuth mounts, and for manual searching for deep sky objects. The focus of the reticle is independent of that of the objective, allowing fine adjustment of the visibility of the crosshair.

The finder is mounted on a double ring mount with an integrated dovetail slide, compatible with most Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD Celestron OTAs. Oversized adjustment screws allow for easy collimation of the finder with the optical axis of the main telescope, maintaining alignment even after removal and reinsertion of the slide.

The eyepiece is designed for the installation of an optional M8x1.25 threaded illuminator, useful for improving the visibility of the reticle in low light conditions.
