ZWO ASI 294 MM Pro Monochromatic camera

The new ZWO ASI294MM PRO camera is the first camera to use the Sony IMX492 monochromatic sensor.

The Sony sensor is the only one that use the 4/3" format and to have an output of pixels necessary to support the 4K format at 120 fps (ADC 10bit output mode).

ASI 294 PRO has a backlit sensor (BSI) that allows it to reach QE up to 75%.

The SONY IMX492 sensor has a 23.2mm diagonal and 4.63x4.63 micron pixels.

The camera also features TEC Cooling with a thermal delta of the ambient temperature down to -40 °.

ZWO EFW 7x36 Filter Wheel

The filter wheel is compact and with less than 400 grams (without filters) also lightweight. USB2.0 is sufficient for powering; the max power consumption is around 150 mA, so you can connect the USB cable directly to the USB2.0 hub of the cooled ZWO ASI cameras.

The distance between the filters and the sensor is only 10mm.

The wheel is perfectly controllable with ASCOM drivers downloadable from the ZWO website.

No additional power cables are needed, the wheel is powered by the USB hub that the ASI cameras are equipped with.
