Astro-Physics photo adapter for Nikon DSLR with stainless steel bayonet. Fits 2" eyepiece holders.

This camera adapter has an enlarged inside diameter forward of the Nikon bayonet which helps to reduce vignetting, especially when used with fast scopes (steep light cones) and full frame sensors. The limitation is only the camera body’s opening.

It is precision-machined aluminum and anodized black. The bayonet is machined stainless steel with both the body and the bayonet baffled and painted flat black on the inside. The bayonet provides precise and solid camera connection.

The adapter’s nosepiece has a uniquely designed safety taper that will ensure a very orthogonal fit when used with a 2" compression-ring clamp.  For convenience, it includes a 48 mm filter thread to expand your imaging creativity.

This nosepiece has a net spacing distance of 1.60" (40.6 mm).  Add the camera’s faceplate to sensor distance of 1.83" (46.5 mm) for a total spacing of 3.43" (87.1 mm).
