With its Ortho-Apochromat Triplet (TOA) concept, the Takahashi TOA 130 provides an ultra high quality and truly versatile large aperture refractor.

Matched with the relevant flattener The TOA 130 is ideally suited for use with sensors both small and large. The inicreasing use of large format sensors in amateur imaging makes the TOS 130 one of the ideal choices.

The TOA 130 is made in Japan to the highest possible specifications and designed to provide stunning images and views with the ultimate in colour correction and contrast.

The TOA-130 exhibits extraordinary contrast and the absence of chromatism like all Takahashi apochromatic refractors with a consequent diameter and a reasonable focal length, making it ideal for general-purpose use as well for the high-resolution planetary and deep sky imaging. The advanced no compromise optical design enables it to fully use the capabilities of Todays advanced cameras and CCD imagers.

The TOA-130S version, with traditional rack-and-pinion focuser offers performance and practicality. The optical tube of 1015mm length, of 130mm of diameter and of almost 10kg allows it to be combined with numerous mount options.

The Ortho Apochromat Triplet ED objective

The apochromatic objective with triplet ED TOA-130 (D=130mm, F=1000mm, F/D 7,7) is assembled in an extremely neat and precise barrel mechanically entirely adjustable. Collimation is easy to adjust and makes it possible to adapt perfectly the optical stresses to the conditions of observation or imaging. The tube has a retractable dewshield.

The TOA-130S rack-and-pinion focuser

The S version has a traditional rack-and-pinion focuser of 69mm of diameter. The back focus is important. To obtain the exit of the focal point, the refractor is equipped with a removable focuser extension tube and with a 50.8mm traditional adaptor. A balancing counterweight cradle is provided because of the weight of the objective along with a 7x50 finder and tube clamshell.
