Takahashi introduced the hyperbolic astrographs flat field Epsilon early as the mid 80's.

Now Takahashi reintroduces astrograph Epsilon 130D with a new version of the corrector field rethought in the light of increasingly stringent demands of modern digital cameras and CCD sensors.

Compared to the model developed in the 80's there is an improvement of about 1/3 in size of stellar diameters equaling the Epsilon 180 with dimensions of less stellar to 10 microns on an image circle of 44 mm in diameter. Even the distortion is improved to around half of the correction offered by the previous version.

The Epsilon 130D offers a range of about 5.9 °, perfect for shooting comets thanks to focal reduced to 430 mm and especially thanks to the very favorable focal ratio of F / 3.3. The images obtained will be very contrasting and the advantage of a focal ratio so fast is realized in extremely short acquisition times, high color saturation and wide-field images exciting.

The secondary mirror of this astrograph It is very large in order to allow uniform illumination at the focal plane. The rays of the secondary is appropriately sized to support the weight. The focuser has been renovated to a very precise focus and there are inserts in special material to keep a high accuracy even in case of very low temperatures. The astrograph also do with a new collimation system very similar to that used on refractors TOA.

The new Epsilon astrograph 130D is a compact, portable (less than 5 kg!) And the exciting performance. In Takahahsi comets could only produce a new jewel dedicated to these ephemeral wandering of the solar system!

The full version includes rings TKA69420S finder 6x30 black and support for waxing.
